Vitamin tests you can track

Vitamin D changes with the seasons

Vitamin D (25-OH) is the usual blood test for vitamin D status. Your skin makes vitamin D from sunlight, so levels are often lower after months with less sun. Results laid out by date make seasonal patterns and the effect of supplements easy to see.

Vitamin units differ between labs

  • Vitamin D: 1 ng/mL = 2.496 nmol/L
  • Vitamin B12: 1 pg/mL = 0.7378 pmol/L

Mediki converts these automatically. Try the blood test unit converter for a single value.

B12, folate and homocysteine

Vitamin B12 and folate are often tested together, sometimes with homocysteine. Put them in one group in Mediki to follow them side by side.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert vitamin D from ng/mL to nmol/L?

Multiply the ng/mL value by about 2.5. For example, 30 ng/mL is about 75 nmol/L. To go the other way, divide nmol/L by about 2.5.

Why is my vitamin D lower in winter?

Your skin makes vitamin D from sunlight, so levels are often lower in months with less sun. Seeing your results by date makes that pattern visible.

Can I track B12 and folate together?

Yes. Create a group with vitamin B12, folate and homocysteine to see them on one screen.
